Lighting a Surrey strata or storefront
Surrey has a large share of strata townhouses in recent construction, and the big complexes in Clayton and Grandview set their own rules on what can go on the exterior. A council that wants one tidy look across the complex usually has the same problem every year. Last year's lights are half out, and nobody wrote down who hung them.
We plan and hang lights on entrances, rooflines, signs, trees and common areas. That covers townhouse complexes, low-rise condos, offices, retail plazas and single storefronts. If your property manager wants one company for install and removal, that is how we set it up.
Check your bylaws first. Most stratas have rules on exterior walls and common property, and we work to whatever yours say. Individual owners who want to light their own unit will usually need permission as well.
How we work around residents and customers
Nobody wants ladders in the way at the busiest hour. We book work around resident routines and opening hours, and we keep walkways and entrances clear while we are on site. Bigger complexes are often planned over more than one visit, so the work does not take over the property in a single day.
Entrance trees and common areas are often the hard part, because there is no safe way to reach them. We handle the height and the access. Everything goes up on clips, with no nails or staples in trim, fascia or siding.
If you already own outdoor-rated lights and they work, we will hang them. If not, we supply them. Repair is its own booking too, and that includes lights someone else hung. We can fix a half-dark display without redoing the whole thing.
Removal happens in January. We suggest booking it with the install, so nobody has to chase it later.
Price, timing and weather in Surrey
We don't put a number on a page, because the price depends on the property. The main factors are the size of the site, how many entrances, trees and signs are being lit, how high the rooflines are, where the power is, and whether we hang your lights or supply them. Larger sites need a walk-through first so the quote matches the work.
Book early in the fall. Larger displays need a walk-through, approval from the council or manager, and a date set before the calendar fills.
Rain and wind arrive by November. Inland areas like Cloverdale and Clayton get colder nights, and frost on roofs can push morning roof work later in the day. We move roof work when it is slick or windy, and we tell you about the change first.
To get a quote started, send us the address, photos of the areas to light, where the power is, and the dates you have in mind.
