What strata and commercial lighting covers
We plan and hang Christmas lights for strata complexes, low-rise condos, storefronts, offices and retail plazas across Vancouver. That includes entrances, rooflines, signs, trees and common areas.
You hire us for one job at a time. There is no program and no yearly plan to join. Install, repair and removal can each be booked alone, even on lights someone else hung.
If you have outdoor-rated lights in storage and they work, we hang them. If they don't, we supply lights. Everything goes up on clips. We don't use nails or staples, so siding, trim and fascia stay as they were.
Problems this job fixes
Most calls from councils and property managers start with one of these.
- A strata council wants one tidy look across the complex.
- A storefront needs to look festive before shopping season.
- Entrance trees and common areas have no safe way to reach them.
- Tenants and residents can't have ladders in the way during busy hours.
- Last year's lights are half out, and nobody has a record of who hung them.
- A property manager wants one company to handle install and removal.
None of this needs a long contract. A walk-through, a plan and agreed dates usually settle it. If last year's lights are half out, we can repair them even though we didn't hang them.
How the job is done
On larger properties we start with a walk-through. We look at the areas to be lit, the trees, the rooflines and where the power is. Then we agree on a plan that a council or manager can approve.
Work is booked around opening hours and busy times. We keep walkways and entrances clear while we are on site. Residents and customers should be able to come and go as usual.
Roof work moves when the surface is slick or the wind is up. We would rather change the day than rush a job at height.
Removal is planned from the start and happens in January. If you book install and removal together, the date is set up front and nobody has to chase it later.
What affects cost and time
The price depends on a few things we can name up front.
- The length of lights.
- The height they hang at.
- How many trees and features are included.
- The power available.
- The install and removal dates you need.
Time depends on the size of the property. A small storefront is a short visit. Bigger complexes are often planned over more than one visit.
Plan early in the fall. Larger displays need a walk-through, approval from the council or manager, and a date set before the calendar fills. To get started, send the address, photos of the areas to be lit, where the power is, and the dates you have in mind.
