What Delta homes need from a light installer
Delta is not one kind of house. North Delta is mostly 1960s to 1980s split-levels and basement-entry homes on hillside lots. The slopes and tall trees bring more shade and moss, so we check footing and roof edges before anything goes up.
Ladner and Tsawwassen are flatter. You will find ranchers, low two-storey homes and newer townhouses. Ranchers have long, easy rooflines, which means a lot of strand and a lot of clips.
Strata share in Delta is lower than in most Metro cities, so most of our work here is single homes. We also do stratas, low-rise condos and storefronts if you manage one.
If you have bins of lights in the garage, bring them up when you book. We will hang them if they are outdoor-rated and still work.
Wind, salt air and wet yards
Tsawwassen is one of the windiest parts of the region. Winter wind off the water loosens poorly clipped strands, so clips and cord runs get extra care there. Ladner gets the same open exposure.
Homes near Boundary Bay, Beach Grove and English Bluff deal with salt air as well. It is hard on tired plugs and worn cord, which is one reason we look over your lights before hanging them.
Flat yards in Ladner and Tsawwassen hold water. We keep connections off the ground so they are not sitting in a soggy lawn.
Farm properties in East Ladner can have long distances between plugs and what is being lit. We plan the cord runs ahead of time.
We use clips only. No nails, no staples. If the roof is slick or the wind is up, we move the roof work to a better day.
How booking and pricing work in Delta
You hire us for one job at a time. There is no program and no yearly plan to join.
Install, repair and removal can each be booked alone. That includes lights someone else hung. If a strand went dark on a roofline you did not install, we can fix it without redoing the whole house.
Removal is done in January, so you do not have to climb up in the cold and rain to take it all down.
We explain what the price depends on before you decide. It comes down to things like how much roofline there is, how far cords have to run, how tricky the access is, and whether we supply the lights or use yours. A long rancher and a hillside split-level in North Delta can be priced quite differently for that reason.
Tree and shrub lighting can be added to the same visit.
